1. Introduction

Welcome to Wise Ledger ("the App"), a product of Goodwill Enterprise Private Limited ("we", "our", "us", "the Company"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and financial information when you use Wise Ledger on any platform.

By using Wise Ledger, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App immediately.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information: Full name, email address, and password hash when you register for an account.
Business Information: Company name, business type, country of operation, and financial year start date collected during onboarding.
Financial Data: Income and expense transactions, chart of accounts entries, budget targets and limits, opening balances, and recurring transaction rules that you voluntarily enter into the App.
Usage Data: App feature interactions, session duration, and error logs collected anonymously to improve the App.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, and browser version for compatibility and security purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

Provide and operate the Wise Ledger application and all its features
Generate your financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Tax Summary, Budget Summary)
Send budget alerts and recurring transaction reminders
Process Pro subscription payments via Google Play and RevenueCat
Respond to support requests sent to support@getwiseledger.com
Diagnose and fix technical issues to improve App performance

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure, which uses PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security (RLS). This means your data is strictly isolated and accessible only by your authenticated account — no other user can access your financial data.

Supabase is hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and encryption in transit (SSL/TLS). We follow security best practices to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

Wise Ledger relies on the following third-party services to function:

Supabase: Database, authentication, and storage backend (supabase.com)
Google Play / RevenueCat: Subscription billing and management
Google OAuth: Optional sign-in via your Google account

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your personal or financial data with any third party for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently delete all associated data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law or for the resolution of disputes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your financial data (available via CSV/Excel export within the App)
Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis

8. Children's Privacy

Wise Ledger is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered an account or provided personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Users

Wise Ledger is operated from Pakistan and is available globally. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data as described in this policy. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email. The updated effective date will be posted at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Wise Ledger ("the App"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you ("User") and Goodwill Enterprise Private Limited ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Wise Ledger is a mobile Progressive Web App (PWA) that provides income and expense tracking, financial reporting, budget management, and tax summarization tools for small businesses and freelancers. The App is distributed via Google Play Store and accessible via web browser.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to access Wise Ledger. You are solely responsible for: (a) maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials; (b) all activities that occur under your account; and (c) notifying us immediately at support@getwiseledger.com upon any unauthorized use of your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your account information current.

4. Subscription & Billing

Wise Ledger offers a Free tier (unlimited transactions, 14-day Pro trial included) and a Pro subscription with regional pricing:

Tier 1 (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, NZ, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong): $5.99/month or $39.99/year
Tier 2 (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Eastern Europe): $3.99/month or $24.99/year
Tier 3 (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Latin America, Africa, SE Asia, Egypt): $1.99/month or $14.99/year

Subscriptions are billed exclusively through Google Play. By subscribing, you additionally agree to Google Play's billing terms and conditions. Key billing policies:

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period — no partial refunds are issued
Refund requests must be directed to Google Play as per their refund policy
Price changes will be communicated with a minimum of 30 days' notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Wise Ledger only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Use the App to record, facilitate, or conceal illegal financial transactions
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or hack the App or its underlying infrastructure
Share, sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your account access to any third party
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App in unauthorized ways
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or App systems
Use the App in any manner that disrupts, degrades, or impairs its normal operation

6. Intellectual Property

All content, source code, design, trademarks, logos, and features of Wise Ledger — including the Wise Ledger name, logo, and brand identity — are the exclusive intellectual property of Goodwill Enterprise Private Limited. All rights reserved.

You retain full ownership of the financial data you enter into the App. By using the App, you grant the Company a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

7. No Financial Advice

Wise Ledger is a financial tracking and reporting tool. All reports, summaries, and figures generated by the App are for informational and record-keeping purposes only. Wise Ledger does not constitute financial, accounting, tax, legal, or investment advice. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified chartered accountant, tax advisor, or financial professional before making any business or financial decisions.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from data loss. You use the App entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Goodwill Enterprise Private Limited and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of financial data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the App or its users. You may delete your account at any time from within the App's Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.

Delete Your Wise Ledger Account

You have full control over your Wise Ledger account and the data you've stored in it. You can request permanent deletion of your account at any time using either of the methods below.

This action is permanent

Once deleted, your account and all associated financial data cannot be recovered. We recommend exporting your data (Settings → Privacy & Data → Export My Data) before deletion if you wish to keep a copy.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1 — Recommended

In-App Deletion

The fastest way is directly from the Wise Ledger app:

Open Wise Ledger and sign in to your account
Go to Settings → Privacy & Data
Tap Delete Account
Type DELETE to confirm
Your account and all data are deleted immediately; you are signed out

Method 2 — Alternative

Email Request

If you cannot access the app (for example, you've uninstalled it or lost access), email us:

Include the email address registered to your account. We will verify the request, delete your data within 7 business days, and send you a confirmation email.

What Gets Deleted

The following information is permanently deleted from our systems:

Account	Email address, password hash, name, signup date
Business Profile	Company name, business type, country, financial year, currency settings
Financial Data	All transactions, budgets, opening balances, chart of accounts, recurring transactions, attached notes
Settings & Preferences	App preferences, notification settings, dark/light mode preference

What Is Retained (and Why)

Some minimal information is retained for legal and operational reasons:

Category	Retention period	Reason
Anonymized billing records	7 years	Pakistani tax and accounting law requires retention of financial transaction records. These records do not contain your personal data.
Account hash (post-deletion)	90 days	Fraud prevention — a one-way hash of the deleted email so it cannot be used to create a duplicate fraudulent account.
Encrypted backups	30 days	Backups are rotated every 30 days; deleted data is permanently removed from backups at the next rotation.

Timeline

Immediate: In-app deletion removes your data from active systems instantly
Within 7 business days: Email-based deletion requests are processed
Within 30 days: All deleted data is purged from encrypted backups
Within 90 days: Account hash retained for fraud prevention is removed

Subscription & Refunds

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To cancel a Pro subscription:

iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Wise Ledger → Cancel Subscription
Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wise Ledger → Cancel
